Mammals move into gardens

The Mammal's Trust has found that Britain's endangered mammals are moving into urban areas in greater numbers than ever before.

An annual survey by the Mammal Trust's found that three quarters of the monitored sites in British towns and cities hosted at least one endangered mammal species, and many contained more. The Mammal Trust's chief executive Valerie Keeble said "These exciting results suggest that our built environment and its surroundings may now be of key importance to the survival of mammalian wildlife".
