 Details
The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) have reported that the first big waves of migrating birds, including wheatears (Oenanthe oenanthe), chiffchaff (Phylloscopus collybita), and sand martins (Riparia riparia) have arrived on the coasts and are starting to work their way inland. Some house martins (Delichon urbica), and swallows (Hirundo rustica) have also been recorded.

The BTO are in the third year of their Migration Watch program where members of the public are invited to contribute their recordings of summer migrants as they arrive. You can find out more about the program at this website http://www.bto.org/migwatch.
