 Details
Leicestershire County Council's Community Heritage Initiative has put together a 'Wild About' pack to give children advice on how to spot birds. The pack will help budding nature detectives to identify bird songs and tell them how to make a nesting pouch. It also includes a survey form which can be used to record when birds are feeding their young and when the fledglings leave the nest. A copy of the Wild About pack can be downloaded from: http://www.wildabout.org.uk/. For further information about the project contact the Community Heritage Initiative at Holly Hayes Environment and Heritage Resources Centre, 216 Birstall Road, Birstall, Leicestershire LE4 4DG, call 0116 267 1377 or e-mail: chi@leics.gov.uk There is also a website at: http://www.leics.gov.uk/celebrating_wildlife/.
