The BBC has announced the results of its competition to design an eco-friendly garden.

The competition was launched at the back end of 2004 (see news for 13th December 2004) to find the best design for an eco-friendly garden judged against a number of environmental criteria of which 'species biodiversity' was one. The winning entry (from Gina Couch) and most of the other commended designs featured wildlife gardening techniques very much at the fore.
