Elaine Clark is a very keen amateur wildlife enthusiast. She and daughter Cheryl were volunteer wardens at their local nature reserve (Titchfield Haven, Hampshire) for about 7 years. Cheryl became a junior leader for the RSPB Wildlife Explorers - working with a group, which was affiliated to the local nature reserve. Cheryl also wrote some articles for the RSPB Wildlife Explorer Magazines. Elaine participated in the BTO Garden Birdwatch Scheme, submitting her weekly birdcounts over several years.
The Clarks have 2 gites and the website they set up for them includes a Nature Notes Diary. The Clarks have a very impressive garden list already, but they get just as excited trying to fathom out aspects of bird behaviour as they do by ticking off a new bird. Both English and French names are listed the birds and butterflies on their garden list.
