The British Trust for Ornithology is the UK's leading authority on monitoring bird population trends. Their site is packed with all the figures and charts needed to convince anyone of the problems facing many birds, including garden birds, in Britain today. There's also a good deal of information of practical importance to the wildlife gardener, e.g. on building nest boxes and feeding birds.
