The Royal Entomological Society is coordinating the event and will be supported by natural history museums, county wildlife trusts, insect conservation societies and many other organisations. You can become involved yourself by taking part in one of the mass-participation surveys being organised. These include surveys of bumblebee nests, glow-worms and cinnabar moths. Details of these surveys and other events can be found on the website http://www.nationalinsectweek.co.uk.
