Garden warming

A study by Cambridge academics is looking at ways in which gardeners can cope with the effects of global warming.

Scientists from the Cambridge Botanic Garden are artificially warming lawns and experimenting with different management regimes in order to discover how we might preserve the Great British Lawn in the face of global warming! Preserving the traditional lawn would not be high on my own agenda for research into the effects of global warming, but it does, at least, indicate that the academic community beginning to look at the implications for gardens and, perhaps, garden wildlife.
